| 2002 | Until November 2002 the band wasn't so active. Alireza Balouch made a deal with a Lithuania record company "Atlantida" to be added on their forthcoming compilation CD ( vol 19 ) in 2003 |
| 1999 | The new member then was Julian Skar, who gave the band a different sound and perspective with his amazing piano talent. Eli Hukkelberg replaced Gitte on vocal. In August 1999 the first demo was released. The demo was recorded at Drammen Lydforum and mixed by Raymond Smith. Almost three months later guitar player Raymond joined Desiderium. At the end of the 1999 Eli Hukkelberg, Raymond & Julian Skar quitted the band. |
| 1998 | Carl left the bass and started playing his main instrument, drums. Gitte Brochstedt joined and delivered the female vocals, it all seemed to reach perfection. And it became perfection when Elin Henden joined. She also came up with the band's present name, Desiderium. Unfortunately around this time Fredrik left the band. He moved to Bergen to study. |
| 1997 | Carl Engstrøm ( bass guitar ) & Kjetil Ottersen ( guitar ) started Desiderium in 1997 with Stig Kjellin Johansen on drums. Stig had to leave the band because of military duties. Alireza Balouch ( guitar ) joined the band one year later. Everything worked out well after this, and a female vocalist ( Cathrine Tanberg ) joined the band as well. After a month, Cathrine was not in the band anymore. Kjetil now did the death-vocals, and the musical picture became a little bit larger, considering the loss of the female part. The 3rd guitar player Fredrik Langeland got into the band. That enlarged the spectrum of the music, and opened a new possibility that wasn't available before. |
